The woman in question was a performer and singer during the 19th century. Her name is Julia Pastrana though bullies call her Ape Woman due to her hairy body and fully grown hair on her face. Her condition left her with no choice but to perform circuses as a freak of nature. Julia Pastrana died in 1860 after giving birth to her only son with the similar genetic disorder who got to live for only a few days.
